This policy explains what personal information Window Market collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the quote request form on this site and to how we handle your enquiry afterwards.
What we collect
When you submit a quote request we collect:
- Contact details — your first name, last name, email address, phone number and postcode.
- Your answers to the form questions — how many windows need replacing and whether you own the property.
- Marketing attribution — how you found us, such as the campaign source, the page you landed on, and advertising click identifiers (for example from Google or Meta ads) if you arrived via an advert or marketing email.
- Technical information — your device's browser information (user agent) and IP address, used for fraud prevention and to make sure the service works properly.
How we use your information
We use your details to handle the quote request you made:
- We will contact you by phone, directly in relation to the quote request you made — to confirm the details and to arrange your quotes. We may also email you about your request.
- We share your details with the vetted installation companies we match you with, so they can prepare and provide your quotes. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone else for their own marketing.
- We use attribution information to understand which of our campaigns work, so we can run the service efficiently.
Our lawful basis for processing your details is that you asked us to act on your quote request (steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
How long we keep your information
We keep quote-request records for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards — normally no more than 24 months from your last contact with us — unless the law requires us to keep specific records for longer. If you ask us to delete your details, we will do so unless we have a legal reason to keep them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw from being contacted about your enquiry at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
